Now, after Dwivedi has more or less set definitive parameters for the tale of Chanakya, BR's son Ravi Chopra has signed on Surendra Pal to play Chanakya on the small screen. (Some 20 years ago, BR had signed on Dilip Kumar for a film version that never got made - but that's another story.) The 36-episode tale will be a sub-plot in Main Dilli Hoon, currently being aired on DD1. Interestingly, Pal - whose earlier roles include Dronacharya - had played a supporting role in Dwivedi's Chanakya. 'This is my dream role,' he says. 'Chopra's work is for everyone - for the masses and the classes.' Since Main Dilli Hoon is among the top 10 serials on the national network, Pal can be sure of one thing: ratings won't be a problem.

This blog calls to have Fun refreshing and cherishing some unforgettable and memorable television momments on DD. I'm just glad to express my personal views and opinions along with our Blogger fans who send us amazing Fan mails about few Shows and Sitcoms aired on retro Doordarshan. Isn't it a great feeling to find those great stories we had once watched when we were just kids? Don't you feel those retro shows still connect to us in the present time someway or the other?
Well, I assume we do and why not! There has been some kind of good influence on our minds after all we have had a great association with the past shows that aired till the mid 90's:) So Let's keep cherishing those lovely memories right here in this Blog.
